Even today, I was at a friend's house and his mum came home. And when I stood up to get something out of my bag she was all: oh I love your costume, are you guys LARPing later tonight?
I was all: "this isn't a costume, I dress like this every day!"

That pic oddly reminds me of batting at the smoke tendrils from my father's cigarettes as a very small child. I'd forgotten about that.

Oh, and re the threat you made about the kazoo on stage last Friday: This if you haven't seen it yet.

But can you smoke it in any of the venues where you play? (thinking of the tasty honey-flavored cigar I had a couple weeks ago)

And while I know that it's not a costume, it is rather easy to mistake it for such. As it's not the jeans and shirt that most of the country wears.

Smoking is nasty, but pipes are sexy...

I have to say that it is not just the man, the pipe, smoke, or clothes. Its a combination of everything, including the background that gives the photo its overall awesomeness. I shall have to remember this photo should I ever wish to create something similar on paper or computer.

By far the very best picture of Captain Robert ever seen/conceived/taken.

And I agree that pipe smoking very much is sexy. It's not just tobacco and icky cigarettes and fags, it's a genuine skill to get that damn thing lighted, and the tobacco one puts in it is always top notch. My fiance smokes pipes and cigars, and I swear, there is a big difference between them and cigs -- one smells like ass, and the other is a smokey, spicey potpurri. It just exhumes awesomeness. Why, Holmes himself was a pipe smoker, yes? If nothing more, it's very steampunk ;)
