I can do better than reposting, if someone sends me a review copy I'll review it for the next edition of the Gatehouse Gazette :)
I could totally do that, I've been roleplaying for years and years and well, years :)

1st-Jul-2011 10:39 pm (UTC) - Re: I got Mine!
Was anyone else at the computer at 1:45pm costantly refreshing the webpage as the clock slowly ticked 2pm besides me? :-D

1st-Jul-2011 10:48 pm (UTC) - Re: I got Mine!
I was XD I sat down actually a half hr before just so I would be all ready cause I feared the servers crashing again.
1st-Jul-2011 10:50 pm (UTC) - Done!!
The anticipation will be unbearable, but at least I know what I will be listening to when I play the game. ;)

So, how/when will we know if we were able to order soon enough to be one of the first 300?
2nd-Jul-2011 12:23 am (UTC)
I'll 2nd this, I didn't find out about the pre-sale till I got home from work, but I live in the midwest, maybe I made it?
2nd-Jul-2011 01:48 am (UTC)
if you CAN order, you are in the first 300. When the 300th sells, I will change the name of the product.

There are still a few copies left of the first 300.

*bounces* Hooray! I ordered earlier, so I'm good. My boss was cool while I was still at work and let me hop online for personal stuff while watching the stuff I was printing. :D

This is totally my self-birthday present. August puts it right on time for my birthday, so I'm excited! I can't wait to play with my friends during my weekly game night!

OMG! So toe-curlingly (is that a word?) cool!*bounce*
I can add it to my very (VERY) small collection of geeky first editions. That poor book is going to get so much use and abuse. I'll have to revamp my Son of Ether character for it.
22nd-Jul-2011 06:57 am (UTC) - Still going?
I ordered mine a little over a week ago through the official AP website, and I haven't seen a name change or "Sold Out" banner yet. That makes me wonder if people are getting their pre-orders through other sources (like directly from Cubicle 7) or whether I just got lucky or what.

BTW, what are the odds of me getting the rest of the band to sign my copy the next time y'all are in Seattle?
22nd-Jul-2011 01:57 pm (UTC) - Re: Still going?
I'm sure if you find them, they will sign it.

After selling the "first three hundred" we kept selling. The first three are numbered and autographed, but I'll go ahead and autograph all the presales.
22nd-Jul-2011 04:48 pm (UTC) - Re: Still going?
COOL! This looks like I'll get a signed copy after all!!!
This is the sort of thing that makes Abney Park so great - it's the little things for fans that make us all so happy! (although you may get writer's cramp)
2nd-Jul-2011 01:29 am (UTC)
Well, my copy was ordered about an hour and a half ago. Hoping I was quick enough to be part of the first 300.

It's interesting and looks cool :)

But I don't understand, how to play this game? Is there any dices, events or powers cards, or what? :)
2nd-Jul-2011 07:43 pm (UTC)
Just dropped a little heads-up regarding this on another RPG board.

There are several known Abney Park fans that hang out there. (Including Randall Bliss, one of that Game's major designers/owners)

Hopefully it'll pull a few folks over to look...and maybe buy. :)

Drat, been off the computer for a couple of days and THIS happens! Well, pre-ordered (from UK!) but probably missed first 300 :( That'll teach me to not to check the computer each day.
15th-Aug-2011 10:01 pm (UTC) - When is this shipping?
Hey there,

I was just wondering when this and the supplement are actually due to ship out? It's mid August now, and I'll admit I'm impatient, haha! I can't wait to play.

Info would be nice though, as I know I for one am in the middle of moving, and I'm worried about this going to my old address if it doesn't ship very soon.

Any help would be appreciated!

I haven't seen a new lj post about the books shipping, but I wanted to crow that mine arrived a couple of days ago (169/300) and I've already read it cover to cover (well some parts got skimmed). It is everything I could have hoped for and more, but now the wait for "Wrath of Fate" is just that much more difficult.

Now I'm just waiting for www.airshippirates.abneypark.com to load the character sheets for download so I won't have to crack the spine to fit the book into my scanner.
30th-Nov-2011 10:57 pm (UTC) - The Co-Star in a Film Can Make or Break an Actor’s Career
As a published writer and screenwriter, who has edited and ghostwritten numerous movies and books, I analyze and critique films from all decades. I notice that a co-star can make or break a movie and the stars career. For example, I recently saw a 1950s film with Clark Gable, called Solider of Fortune, in which he had wanted Grace Kelly as a co-star, but she got married to her prince and no longer acted at this time, and along come Susan Hayward for the co-star in Soldier of Fortune. But Susan Hayward looked rather old and tired, frumpy. She just didn’t have a fresh youthful appearance about herself. Her tired look marred the entire film. Susan Hayward, like Jane Russell, has a hard look; but maybe were cutie when they were young. This was unfortunate for Clark Gable, because he was older but still handsome as ever, but his career was weaning about this time, and in this film had he worked with Grace Kelly who was quite modern, elegant and fresh looking it could have revitalized his career. But after doing the film with Susan Hayward, Clark Gable's career dwindled after Soldier of Fortune and never recovered, then he died. www.elainenorth.com
